No Nachos?!

Here we see the detritus left from a gathering of Marie and Yvonne. These two began their get-together at Yvonne's house – where they were discussing their exciting podcast plans. Caught up in the thrill of going 'into business' together – and realising they started at 10 am, had not stayed on task and were now hungry, they moved their meeting to a food and drink emporium.

Marie declared she'd like the cheesy, salsa-drenched nachos. Said emporium proclaimed she could not have these as they weren't even on the menu. This nearly brought about much wrath until Yvonne thrust the menu under the emporium's nose – and pointed with meaning at said nachos. There for all to see in black-and-white – and wearing a jaunty sombrero to boot! The waiter behind the counter beetled off 'out back' then beetled back 'out front' to admit that they were indeed available for purchase –and therefore consumption. Calm was restored. The nachos appeared.

The calm, however, did not last. Yvonne had ordered a cheese and caramelised onion toastie. What arrived was a cheese and onion chutney toastie. Marie battened down the hatches as Yvonne set sale back to the counter with the erroneous toastie, only to be told that the emporium did not have any caramelised onions. 'What bollox!' they both thought. Yvonne was offered a plain cheese toastie in exchange. This substandard toastie was reluctantly agreed upon – although much muttering ensued between the pair. One questioned if it was time for gin yet…

The new toastie arrived, but to their horror, the cheese was on the outside as well as the inside!

'What the buggery bollox is this nonsense?' demanded Marie.

'Fuck knows!' replied Yvonne.

More teas and coffees were drunk, more notes were taken (they took it in turns to use the Badass bitch pen) and much looking over the top of their glasses went on. Sadly, not the type filled with gin…

Eventually, at 4:30 pm!!! our intrepid duo drained their many cups, clicked shut their pens, put their reading glasses away, returned their notepads to their bags, hugged and went their separate ways.

It's safe to say that Marie and Yvonne thoroughly enjoy their podcast planning sessions 🤣
